Thanks for all the great comments, Guys! It always means so much to me.

And don't think I get tired of the "Larry Green" comments. By the way, it originally started as Lowes "Shutter Green". It's still the same color, I just have it custom mixed at Sherwin Williams.

I would love to see someone else build something and paint it the same color.

I did some time ago! :-D Well, it may not be the exact same shade of "Larry Green" but, I think it is close. :)
It is still in use and living well at my sons house. 8)

Larry,
Cabinet looks fabulous!

Could you please give me some info about the lacquer you are using and are you brushing or spraying it? dry time? and any other issues good or bad.

I really appreciate it,
Darryl

Hey Larry,

Here's a few projects that were painted "Lexington Green", from the Good Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company

Rog and Tom, Thanks for the pictures! Great job!

Darryl, the lacquer is from Target Coatings www.targetcoatings.com . The part number is EM-6000. It's water based, and I only sprayed 1 coat as I didn't want it too glossy. I was amazed at how much smoother it made the finish. They say it will burn into the finish.

By the way, the customer was thrilled!!

Larry,

Excellent "Larry Green" project! Got a question: Since you say the top coat "burns" into the finish, does that mean that there is no prep required to the color before applying the top coat?

Thanks,
Carlos

Was it an HVLP sprayer? and what size nozzle? How does the lacquer burn into the paint? thanks again for the info,
Darryl

From what I understand, "Burning In" means it actually "melts" into the base coat.

DDD, I'm not sure of the size of the nozzle, I'll check later today.
