For all you guys and gals who have been here for a bunch of years at WWA, someone had posted a website about a business that sold colored/dyed wood. They would inject the young trees with all different colors..... yellow, blue, purple, red etc..... and when the trees were mature they would cut them down and sell the wood either as boards or as turning blanks. Does anyone remember the website or the name of the company????

tswoods.com

But, I think the website is now defunct. Maybe they changed the name?

I was just going to post about that article. I can't find anything on the company either. However, the guys who ran the company were a father and son, Tom and Shaun Frink. They are located outside of Pueblo, CO, so you might try contacting them directly. Might still have some lumber available.

WOW! thanks guys. the TS Woods now sounds familiar. The pic in the woodworking magazine was definitely what I was remembering. I also tried going to the website but got something different. I will keep researching and let you know if I find anything. Appreciate the insight. :)

Just found this thread. By chance I was speaking to an old friend in AZ today who is a pro WWer. She bought from that supplier regularly, often at the Las Vegas WW show. She's been trying to find him/them again for several years with the intention of laying in a large supply but she has been completely unsuccessful.

The good news is that she sold me the rest of her supply. Hey, SOMEbody's got to be lucky.
