Wright Brothers 1902 glider up-date. The top wing is done framing, now I start on the bottom wing. After the glider is completely done being framed I will need to take it apart partly to skin it, that’s sewing the covers on it then reassembly to the finished aircraft.

Thanks for the new pics, Tom. They give a bit more perspective on size.

Now, I take it that this is the entire span of wings--both left and right in one piece....am I correct?

Dude, that's looking AWESOME!! Please keep the pics coming

You and Little Bear should get together and build a Lilliputian military-- you already have the starts of a cracking navy and Air Force

Lawrence, sounds good to me, but how will Little Bear mount the 16 inchers on a canoe? :D :D

Tom,
It looks like you're doing fine on the project. Keep the photos coming, and best of luck on the build.

Did you know the Wright glider was the first aircraft designed by wind tunnel data. The Wrights made and used the second wind tunnel in the US.

Tom, I'd bet that was a real tough job doing it full scale. Looks like it'd be even tougher scaleing it down. Lots of line work but it's looking great! 8)
