Thanks to all of you for the video tutorials and the online help. This is the first one and I'm sure it'll get better. But still, I can hang it on the tree with no shame.

I'm going to make a few of these for Christmas presents.

Looks good! One small thing that I try to make a point of is to make sure the hole for the perch is drilled in a section of the ornament that is straight, so that the perch sticks straight out rather than tipping up or down.

Yep Bob...I fixed that on the second one. I really do appreciate the tutorials. Turning won't become my primary woodworking outlet, but I'd love to be just proficient enough to keep from getting dead. :-)
