One of my new friends at this forum suggested that I post a Bed that I built.

This is actually a replica of my bed. Hopefully a picture follows.

I traced the headboard on glued up paper (using carbon paper to etch outline) while kneeling on my bed. Then by using a turning and regular caliper, I drew a full size pattern of the post.

The post were turned in sections (four) with the spindle the fourth. I centered 5/8" holes for dowels while the blanks were still square knowing I'd never get center if post were turned first.

It is Cherry.

I don't have a lot of experience turning so it was just slow tedious work.

Well for someone who doesn't turn much, that's fantastic work. 8)
