 Post subject: Xmas Ornaments

I haven't posted in a long time...so here are a few ornaments I turned, the small bells are apple wood dyed and the bell with handle (burn lines) is also apple, the other bell with handle is cherry and the little birdhouse is mapel with a sumac roof...thanks for looking

Suggestion. Try a cotter pin as a hanger. I even got some brass ones from Fastenal one year.

When you get finials up top, like these, the screw eyes look bulky, and can split the wood. I bore and CA.

Ron, I love the ornaments. Truly. NO Christmas tree is prettier than one decorated with these. They have been on my to-do list for some time.

Mango...I get the little birds at Michaels (craft store) Google Michaels to see if you have an outlet there.
I think Bobham has a tutorial video on making little acorn birdhouses

You can get the miniature birds at various places. Michaels Craft store faithfully carries them, and is the easiest place to get them. Hobby Lobby also carries some. You can also get them at Walmart if you're lucky. Craft Supplies USA carries some as well.

If you want an alternative to screw eyes (I make my own eyelets), and my take on the miniature birdhouses, take a look at my tutorial here:
